Without getting lost in the further talk, how is the 2021 Honda NSX made? It attracts more than just a look. The lines are from supercars, from exotic cars to polished. Low, wide and bad, yet there is a vein of high technology and efficiency that can also be perceived externally. The side is devoid of aesthetic ambitions and there is nothing to report except the presence of an indentation in the lower area while behind, towards the tail, things get more interesting. First of all, there is the glass that lets you peek out the engine mounted in the rear area and then the upright that seems to lean on the roof, a design choice but also a precise choice to better channel the flows and improve aerodynamics. The glance ends with the triple framed tailpipe.

Once seated inside the cockpit, the smile that had printed on my face begins to slightly ripple. The interior is covered in leather and Alcantara and the seat is enveloping like a real sports car, but what a strange design does this steering wheel have and how many old-style buttons have they put on the spokes? It could have been studied much better than that.
The smile turns off completely once I put my fingertips on the touch of the infotainment, old graphics and the touch on the screen produces an exaggerated lag even for a simple screen transition, not to mention the laughable functions. No, that’s just not the case, not on a supercar.
Engine and performance
Under the glass veil is the 3.5-liter V6 Biturbo petrol engine capable of making 507 Horsepower sing and then crushing the driver against the seat thanks to its 550 Nm of torque. Oh, I almost forgot, to help the mighty engine there are also 3 electric motors to form the so-called Sport Hybrid SH-AWD Power Unit engine equipped with gearbox automatic nine-speed. Total power? 581 HP 646 Nm to burn the 0-100 in less than three seconds and subsequently reach a speed of 308 km / h.
The road test
Better to leave and see if the smile returns once to the guide. I press the Start button and I am ready to hear a dark rumble in my ears but the ignition did not provoke riots. This is because, in Normal or Eco mode, at lower speeds, the two electric motors take care of advancing the 2021 Honda NSX while the mighty petrol comes into operation when you press much more on the gas pedal. Only by switching to Sport does a more rocking melody begin to emerge from the triple exhaust, which becomes a real rant if you decide to use the most playful and sporty mode, the Sport Plus. In this case, the electric motors never work alone but support the petrol engine in the most brutal accelerations, squeezing me deeper and deeper into the seat.
Tackling the curves (alas, there was no possibility of being able to use it on the track) the steering wheel, which in aesthetics had made my nose wrinkle, convinces me in substance, in its usefulness. It is extremely direct and communicative, easily contestable and controllable. Others yes, the front end can be easily controlled, but the entire car body faithfully follows the instructions given to it, whether it is a curve in support or touch and escape between the chicanes. It is agile and easily addressed to the preferred trajectory thanks to the two electric motors that work at the front: the wheels pass the torque so as to always have the best traction in the outside curve and destroy the understeer.
